How does the Armory Unlock work in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

The Armory Unlock is a feature that you will have access to from level 25 in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Many weapons, devices, and field upgrades are locked behind the completion of a series of challenges. Specifically, each one will require completing daily challenges with it selected in order to unlock it.

What is the issue with the Daily Challenges for unlocking items in the Armory Unlock?

If you want to obtain a specific item, such as the Semtex, you will have to activate the challenge registry and complete three of the daily challenges. The problem is that the daily challenges are finite. Once completed, you have to wait for the next rotation to have more available. However, victories in standard matches will still count towards the total once you have run out of daily challenges.

Are all challenges the same difficulty?

No, some challenges are more demanding than others. For example, unlocking the Karambit (knife) requires completing 5 challenges, while unlocking the heart sensor requires 8. You can have one active goal and three in the queue so that they are activated automatically as you unlock the previous one.
