Overview

mLAC on having granted autonomous status has been on the path of introducing changes in its curriculum and introducing new courses to meet expectations of higher education and industry. The Commerce Department has always been in the forefront on this path. This is reflected in the fact that the department of Commerce pioneered the establishment of business lab in 2005 with a focus on skill development and introduced industry related and technology oriented add-on-courses to build competent commerce graduates. The autonomous status has strengthened the inclination of the department to craft a B.Com course which is different, which is student-centric and which will facilitate placements with a high CTC.

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program the three year undergraduate program is designed to bridge the gap between conceptual theoretical learning and practical application to inculcate professional corporate expertise. The curriculum has been suitably prepared to meet the global industry requirements

When it comes to Private sector, Software MNCs and the BT Sectors are the prime recruiters. Web hosting, IT sector, BT Companies are some other sectors that recruits. Graduates may take up the following posts in the above-mentioned sectors.
